The Commercial Finance Association provides indicators of industry activity in two ways. The CFA’s Annual Asset-Based Lending & Factoring Survey has measured year-to-year asset-based lending and factoring activity since 1976.
Trends in asset-based lending are demonstrated in CFA’s Quarterly ABL Index, which provides new business and portfolio performance indicators for the 20 largest CFA members on quarter-by-quarter basis.
THE QUARTERLY ASSET BASED LENDING INDEX
The CFA Quarterly Asset-Based Lending Index is developed to help Commercial Finance Association members and external constituencies monitor industry trends.
26 of the largest CFA members engaged in asset-based lending provide data for this Index.
The mix of reporting members changes from time to time. Also, they occasionally revise previously reported data. In these instances, data from prior indices is restated.
THE ANNUAL ASSET-BASED LENDING AND FACTORING SURVEY HIGHLIGHTS
These industry surveys are based on data reported by 35 of the largest asset-based lenders and factors.
This report contains highlights of the surveys. CFA members actually submitting data have received more detailed reports.
