Lender Jeopardy!

Join us for lunch and a game of Jeopardy! where we will ask and answer a variety of questions frequently faced by commercial lenders.

Dan Beck is a shareholder with Winthrop & Weinstine, where his practice is focused on the representation of secured lenders with loans that are in work-out, forbearance, foreclosure, receivership, liquidation or bankruptcy.

Jim Dierking is a shareholder with Winthrop & Weinstine, and is a member of the Commercial Lending group.  For over 25 years, Jim has advised a wide variety of lenders in asset-based, commercial, construction and real estate lending transactions including revolving lines of credit, term loans, multiple-advance term facilities and letters of credit, as well as more specialized New Markets Tax Credit, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, municipal bond and Native American tribal financing transactions.

Tom Kettleson is a shareholder with Winthrop & Weinstine and is the practice group leader for the firm’s Commercial Lending Group. Tom has been representing financial institutions almost exclusively for over a decade. His practice focuses primarily on structuring, documenting and negotiating commercial loans and restructuring problem loans across the country for financial institutions ranging from small leasing companies to some of the biggest banks in the United States.

Tip LeeKristopher (Tip) Lee is a shareholder with Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. and practices in the areas of Commercial Lending and Creditors’ Remedies & Bankruptcy. He works with a variety of lending institutions, including community, regional and national banks, hedge funds, and private equity funds. He assists clients in structuring, negotiating and documenting a range of financing transactions, including real estate, construction, and general commercial and industrial transactions. He also has extensive experience representing financial institutions with debt workouts, debt restructurings, foreclosures, and collections on the “back end” of deals, giving him a unique ability to guide lenders on the “front-end” of deals to ensure they are properly secured and perfected in collateral in the event of a loan default.
