As the editor in chief of the Triangle Business Journal (TBJ) for the past 13 years, Mukherjee has had a front row seat to the region's economic, social, and cultural development. Before his work at the TBJ, Mukherjee was the Washington Bureau Chief for American City Business Journals, TBJ's parent company, which owns 43 business journals across the country. Mukherjee has won numerous national awards — from the comprehensive analysis of the nation's outdated bankruptcy laws to exposing securities fraud by brokerage firms on Wall Street. Mr. Mukherjee studied journalism at the University of Mississippi and business at St. Xavier's College in Kolkata, India.
